Very proud to finally share this project — Pyro Space Station, released for Star Citizen (Alpha 4.0.0) at Cloud Imperium Games.
This work was also used for my panel at Citizen Con a few years ago.
This project explores visual development for Pyro Space Station, focusing on atmosphere, spatial storytelling, and functional worldbuilding within a hostile, industrial environment.
The goal was to balance scale, readability, and narrative intent while maintaining a grounded, immersive visual language that supports exploration and gameplay flow.
3D was used early in the process to validate volumes, proportions, and spatial relationships, then further refined with a painterly approach to reinforce mood and storytelling.
Big thanks to Danny Chan, Christian Doretz, Will Hyde, Brittany Chin, Fred Dupéré, and the entire Concept Art team who contributed to the development of Pyro Space Station.
Special thanks to Pierre-Luc Boulais (Art Director at the time) and Ian Leyland, whose trust and artistic direction helped shape this early vision.
