Homesteads Alpha 4.0.0 – Common Area | Star Citizen
Very proud to finally share this project — Homesteads, released for Star Citizen at Cloud Imperium Games.
Big thanks to Danny Chan, Christian Doretz, Brittany Chin, Fred Dupéré, and the entire Concept Art team who contributed to the development of Homesteads.
Special thanks to Pierre-Luc Boulais (Art Director at the time) and Ian Leyland, whose trust and artistic direction helped shape this early vision.
It’s been a long time since my last ArtStation post. Time flies, and the past months have been especially busy, but the beginning of the year felt like the right moment to finally share this work — even if the Homesteads release itself happened last June.
This piece presents the Common Area of a Homestead, along with early development sketches.
It was actually one of the very first concepts I created for Star Citizen, nearly five years ago. A bit dated perhaps, but still a meaningful milestone for me.
Better late than never — I hope you enjoy this look into the early visual development of Homesteads.
Additional Explorations
Alongside the Common Area, I’m also sharing a selection of early exploratory sketches for other Homestead rooms.
These were part of the visual research and world-building phase, focusing on mood, spatial ideas, and everyday life rather than final designs.
